Education/Research Interests

Dr. Chen joined the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases in 2003 after completing her pediatric infectious disease fellowship at Stanford University. As a fellow, her research involved understanding CD8 T cell host response to CMV infection in healthy children. Her future research will continue to investigate how children immunologically respond to pathogens and to vaccines. Upon joining the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Dr. Chen assumed care of children seen in the pediatric infectious disease clinic. She continues to see new patients in this clinic for pediatric infectious disease issues and for evaluation of primary or secondary immunodeficiency.
