The Mansky Lab

Welcome to the Mansky Lab! Our laboratory studies the cell and molecular biology of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1, the cause of AIDS) and human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1, the cause of an adult T-cell leukemia) with a particular focus on HIV-1 genetic variation, evolution and population genetics as well as virus assembly. We seek to apply these concepts towards drug discovery and understanding antiviral drug resistance.
Members of the Mansky Lab (July 07, left to right): Irene Dorweiler, Michael Dapp, Holly Sadler, Azah Tabah, Priya Kamdar, Louis Mansky, Christine Clouser, Colleen Lockman and Casey Dorr.
