IMV to host future conferences

The IMV and the U of M will be serving as local hosts for several future conferences. The IMV/UMN will be acting as the local host for the 7th International Retroviral Nucleocapsid Protein Symposium in 2009, the 30th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Virology in 2011, and the 19th International HIV Dynamics & Evolution Meeting in 2012. 2007 Fall Picnic

The IMV Fall Picnic will take place on Wednesday, September 5 at the Como Park Picnic Pavillion in St. Paul. We'll begin firing up the grill at 4:30. Please bring a side dish, dessert or something alcoholic! We will be providing soda, chips, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken and veggie burgers.

RNAi Core Facility Opens

The RNAi Core Facility at the U of M Biomedical Genomics Center has just opened as a service for researchers at University of Minnesota, Mayo Clinic and all affiliated investigators with easy, efficient and economical access to the latest in whole genome RNAi collections through the Open Access RNAi Program from Open Biosystems. The facility has the Human and Mouse GIPZ Lentiviral shRNAmir libraries and the Human and Mouse TRC Lentiviral shRNA libraries.

Spring Symposium

The 2007 IMV Symposium was held on Monday, May 14 at the Coffman Memorial Theater. Invited Keynote Speakers were Dr. Jack Johnson (Scripps Research Institute) and Dr. Peter Palese (Mt. Sinai). A fine time was had by all!
